Compare the total alkalinity test pad to the total alkalinity color chart on the color comparator. The total alkalinity pad will be a shade f green depending on the total alkalinity of the water. Estimate result if color on test pad falls between two color blocks. The right range of total alkalinity depends on the type of sanitizer being used. Note: low pH readings may result when total alkalinity is less than 80 ppm. - Write down the results of the tests in the Test Log at the end of the provided booklet.
- Consult the Treatment Recommendation Charts in the provided booklet to determine how to obtain proper pool or spa water balance.
Remember to dry your hands before removing test strips from the bottle. Also replace and tighten the lid on your AquaChek select bottle immediately after removing a strip. This will prevent spilling strips and keep them fresh. Keep the strips in a cool dry place and leave the packet of drying agent in the bottle. This will keep the test strips at their best.
